Two men, one 33 year old and one 35 year old, were arrested on Thursday afternoon (11/5) for possession of cannabis. The official press release made by the police reads as follows:
Two Greek men, 33 and 35 years of age, were arrested in the afternoon of 11.05.2017 in Neapolis, by officers of the Agios Nikolaos Drug Squad and they are charged with offenses relating to illegal substances and weapons.
The officers stopped and checked the vehicle, owned by the 33 year old, inside of which, they found and confiscated 68 grammes of cannabis.
In a search of the home of the 33 year old in Heraklion, the following were also found and confiscated:
– 140,2 grammes of cannabis
– 35 bullets of various types and sizes
– Electronic scales and two cannabis graters
The preliminary investigation is being carried out by Drugs Squad of the Agios Nikolaos, Lasithi Police Division, whilst the two men will be brought before the Public Prosecutor of Agios Nikolaos.
