Vassilakis Estate “We are faithful to our appointment with a new prize”
The products of the Vassilakis Estate, from the Mirabello area of Lasithi, Crete, remain on the list with the best olive oils worldwide, once again this year.
The Vassilakis Estate proves the constant quality of it’s products, which are always produced, based on the experience and the passion of the family.
For the second time we participated in the World Olive Oil Competition of New York (NYIOOC), which in it’s 5th year, came to it’s conclusion on 27th April 2017. Our Estate managed to come away from the Competition with another important distinction, this time, for the product which bears our name, “Vassilakis Estate-Extra Virgin Olive Oil”.
Twenty seven oil producing regions took part in the Competition, with more than 900 olive oil samples being judged. The product Vassilakis Estate, won the Silver Medal for Quality, in the category “Medium Intense Koroneiki”.
The Vassilakis Estate olive oil, is a product that is produced exclusively from our own family owned olive groves. It is an extra virgin olive oil, made from the koroneiki variety of olive trees, from an early harvest and with the process of cold pressing, which has a rich aroma, an intense fruity taste and a spicy aftertaste. It is the flagship of Vassilakis Estate products.
