Important donation to the Venizeleio Hospital Heraklion

The important events must be reported and the donation from the Karatzis family is an important contribution to the Venizeleio Hospital in Heraklion and to Crete, as from now on, it will not be necessary for anyone to travel to Athens, to be able to have endoscopic imaging.

The family wanted to maintain a very low profile but the Chief of the Gastroenterological Clinic of the hospital, Mr. Grigoris Paspatis, who is also a local council member, wanted to acknowledge the donation and posted on facebook to announce the importance of the donation.

“Today 13/3/2017 was a long and difficult day, for many reasons. However, something very important took place for me. For the first time, in our department of the Venizeleio Hospital, we were able to do an endoscopic ultrasound imaging procedure. An advanced technique. For the first time in Crete, we have been able to carry out in full, this particular procedure. We hope that we can offer this procedure to the whole of southern Greece. We will try…..”

“Note: The staff want to thank the Karatzis family who donated this system of equipment to the Venizeleio Hospital in memory of Miltiadis Karatzis. It is a donation that will help help us to help people who are not in a position to travel easily for the test, to Athens.”
