“Come and make our town a better place”

Old and young, pupils, parents and teachers – everyone took part in the cleaning initiative that took place last Sunday in the community of Neapolis.
The response to the call, “Come and make our town a better place”, was impressive and the photographs here, show the efforts being carried out in the grounds of the 1st Junior School in Neapolis, where many hands made light work of weeding, digging, planting flowers and herbs, watering, whitewashing the tree trunks in the gardens and generally improving the overall environment for the better of everyone who shares it.

If the children learn from a young age to participate and take responsibility for the world around them, we can hope that they will then carry on doing the same, in the years to come.
