Hit and run death in Chania

Another life has been lost on the roads of Crete, with a woman being hit by a car, as she walked on a road in Chania last night, just before eleven o’clock.

The woman was found lying in the road, close to the Prison of Agias and despite the speedy arrival of an ambulance, it was already too late, as she was declared dead at the scene of the accident.

An autopsy will be carried out at Chania Hospital and the Traffic Police of Chania are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
