500 euro REWARD for information on identity of dog torturer

With a post on his facebook page, Takis Proestakis – Takis Shelter, in Ierapetra, has announced that a reward of 500 euros will be given to whoever is able to provide information, which will lead to the identity of the person(s) responsible for the vicious and barbaric torture of a dog, which was found this week in Koutsouras, Ierapetra.
The dog was found by Pavlos, a passer by who responded to the sound of the desperate plea being made by the dog. It was alive, but hanging from a tree, in a state of extreme exhaustion and shock, with his paws hardly touching the ground. After asking around in the area, it appeared that he had probably been hanging there for at least three or four days – his cries were heard by residents (but not investigated)!
The poor animal’s body was also covered in burn marks, which on inspection by a vet, led to the conclusion that the animal had, more than likely been subjected to deliberate torture.
Takis and his supporters are caring for Ozzy, as they have now named him, and are trying to help heal his physical and emotional wounds. And are offering the 500 euros reward for the arrest of the perpetrator.
If you have information, please come forward – either via our site, Takis’ facebook page, or directly to the police – use a private message, but report anything and anyone, you may know to have been involved.
Ozzy is now starting to recover from his ordeal:
