Ten days have passed since an accident in Tsifliki, Elounda, between a car and a tree.
From what we learnt, the passengers weren’t injured, the tree seems to have survived and the only damage, appears to be to the car. This is evident from the photographs, with the airbags fully inflated, the smashed windscreen and the bodywork to the front of the car falling off and beyond repair.
The question as to why it is still sitting on the side of the road after ten whole days, is the question on everyone’s lips. The owners haven’t moved it nor has any other interested third party – police – insurance company.
The point is, that it’s presence on the road doesn’t create a particularly positive impression to those passing by……locals, or the tourists that are now starting to arrive on the Island.
