Everyone may be dizzy from hearing the numbers of tourists expected this year in Greece, and how high the never seen before demand remains, but what is really happening with revenues, which should be the real issue?
Are the numerous candidates to visit Greece this year of the “quality” desired and will they be those who will be in a position to spend money in the resorts?
A man from Agios Nikolaos who now lives in Holland, sent us a photograph of an offer he saw in a travel agents window in the town of Zevenaar, which advertised an eight day package holiday, leaving on 13th May, which included flights and accommodation, that was for sale at 204 euro per person!
Fortunately the package is for accommodation in apartments…Sylvia Apartments, in Hersonissos, (not in Agios Nikolaos as the poster indicates), which means that these visitors will have to go out to eat and drink during their stay. Even if they only eat a gyros, a greek salad or souvlaki everyday, and get their other basic supllies from the supermarket, they are still spending more than those in all-inclusive hotels, but…….
