Pedestrianisation in the main square

A suggestion to partially pedestrianise the main square in Agios Nikolaos, was adopted by the the Committee for traffic circulation, in a meeting held on Thursday, 24th November.
The idea is for all the seasonal activities to be moved to the centre of the town.
The section of the square between Milo pastry shop and Germanos will be the focal point for the Christmas decorations and activities this year, with the necessary alternative routes for traffic to be ensured.
Speaking to fonien.gr deputy Mayor, Mrs. Afroditi Varkaraki commented that this action will be a trial measure for what is ultimately, a long term plan to pedestrianise the whole of the town centre.
