The Municipality of Agios Nikolaos is taking part in this year’s National Environmental Action, “Let’s do it Greece 2017”, which will take place on Sunday 2nd April, in every corner of the Country.
This particular initiative is taking place for the 6th year running and it has been adopted by thousands of volunteers and hundreds of bodies and organisations. The aim is for the whole of Greece, on 2nd April to pull together in the spirit of a common voluntary movement!!!
Through the masses of volunteers, simultaneously in 1,500 places nationwide, activities will be coordinated to achieve clean-up work, landscaping and a general environmental upgrade.
The basic target is to instill the idea of voluntary contribution in the community, cooperation, a responsible attitude to our other citizens and the natural environment.
The initiative “Let’s do it Greece”, started with the efforts of young people coming from environmental movements and groups within their schools, who wanted to promote the good side of our Country. The side of it’s people who try and contribute daily in their area, the face of volunteers who work together with a joint effort, the side of pleasure from giving and participation in something creative.
In order to be able to coordinate joint activities in the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos,we are asking all voluntary organisations, groups, societies, schools and individual citizens to take part in the campaign “Let’s do it Greece 2017”, in an effort to support this huge, unprecedented by Greek standards, voluntary initiative.
We hope that all of you who possess a high sense of responsibility and love for your surroundings, will support this important campaign and spread the common message for a clean and naturally beautiful environment.

There will be a meeting to coordinate all the actions, by those taking part, which will be held on Monday 20th March at 18.00, in the Conference Room on the 3rd floor of the Rex Cinema.
