Homophobic attack

A rare homophobic attack was reported yesterday to the authorities in Crete. The young man, a hairdresser from Heraklion, who made the complaint, said that his attackers stole all of his money, his mobile phone and cut his hair with a knife.
The man went for help at the offices of Heraklion Social Services, where he asked to use the telephone and sent messages via social media and to different organisations, who work in the field of rights for gender identity.
In a state of shock, the hairdresser described the attack which was carried out by a specific group of people. “The dragged him by the hair, they punched and kicked him all over his body, they cut his hair, which was tied in a ponytail, with a knife and all the while, relentlessly asking him to give them oral sex, swearing and screaming profanities at him”, an article on the website “lesbian.gr” reported.
Later on the victim made a formal complaint to the police, who quickly arrested the four men, three of are now being held.
