The Harbour Master of Agios Nikolaos port, would like to thank yet again, the divers of the Cretan Rescue Team, who worked voluntarily, to clean the sea floor of the main harbour.
They worked with the help of a crane, kindly provided by Mr. Atsalakis and operated by his staff plus a team of Council workers from the cleansing dept, to clear all the debris and rubbish, that has ended up under the water.
The Harbour Master has asked repeatedly for harbour buffers to be installed, by the local Council Harbour Fund, which would mean,that this work would not need to be done again and would also dramatically improve the image in our harbour.
