Crete could not be missing from the list of the top 19 Greek islands, according to readers of the Guardian newspaper in Britain, but what in particular is it about Crete, that makes it such a popular tourist destination, in the opinion of the same readers?
Well for your information, Crete is most popular according to the survey conducted by the newspaper, for………….it’s good food!
Of course, the Guardian, which appears to be a big fan of Greece and it’s islands, apart from Crete, mentions, amongst others, Zakynthos for it’s gorgeous beaches, Dilos for it’s archeological sites, Koufonisia for the peace and quiet, Skopelos for it’s Monasteries and Rhodes for it’s nightlife……
So, it seems, food lovers choose Crete! Would you agree?
