The good news of the day!!

There are still people amongst us that do think of others and not only themselves, even when theoretically, no one was watching and only their conscience could judge them……….

– The first incident was in Chania, where a recent small ad in a local newspaper has caused a lot of comment. The ad is titled “An urgent message” and says, “A few days ago, in the unguarded car park Regina, I hit and slightly damaged the bumper of a Volvo. A very urgent job prevented me from informing the Police. I ask the owner(s) or anyone who knows them, to contact me on the phone number below. I have full insurance and all damage will be taken care of. I have informed the Police.

I apologise, Antonis. Tel: 6979. ——-

– The second example of honesty and integrity was reported in the city of Trikala in mainland Greece. A couple went to an ATM machine to make a withdrawal, to find that the previous customer had taken his receipt, but left behind the sum of 2,000 euros!
They immediately took the cash to the nearest police department. In cooperation with the bank, the police were able to trace the forgetful customer, who on receiving the phone call to go in and collect the money, couldn’t express enough, her appreciation to the people who had handed it in.

It’s great to see news that brings a smile to your face and restores your belief in mankind.
