Elderly man missing in Sitia

The Emergency Services are on red alert since yesterday in the area of Sitia, after an elderly man was reported missing.
According to reports, the man told family that he was going out in Palaikastro, to collect wild greens.
However, time passed and the man failed to return home. His family became concerned for his safety and reported his disappearance to the Police.
A search in the area by rescue teams is ongoing in an effort to find the man as quickly as possible.
