Court case for police officer charged with dog shooting, postponed

The court case of the police officer from Agios Nikolaos, who is charged with shooting and injuring a neighbour’s dog, was postponed yesterday in Neapolis Courthouse.

The inability of the man’s defense lawyer to be present for todays hearing, forced the Court to postpone and new date of 20th November, 2017, has been set.

The support that had been offered by locals involved in animal welfare in the area, was not in court as expected and as one leading voice in the defense of animals, Dora Milonaki, commented via a facebook post, asking for far more people to be there in November – ONLY BY BEING UNITED CAN WE PUT AN END TO ABUSE!!.
