The soul destroying situation today, at the “official,” Council “dog shelter”, in Agios Nikolaos, was highlighted in a video that Marios, the local man who voluntarily, tries to keep the “shelter” going, posted on his personal facebook page.
Our friend Marios tries so hard, alone, to help the poor, sorry four-legged creatures who are picked up and taken to the Council “shelter”, those that are left there, tied to the fence, by unworthy owners, or in many cases, animals that are are literally thrown in, by certain heartless, irresponsible residents of the area.
Marios also posted a written message on facebook yesterday asking (yet again), for help with donations of food, water and vaccinations, for the 63 dogs now trapped there.
Dare we ask WHEN the Council is actually going to make a serious intervention at the “shelter”, or is it probably safer to ask IF they ever will???
