The best of the snow in Crete, in pictures!

Τoday, 31st December 2016, the harsh winter weather will start to abate and Crete will see more of a “normal” winter weather scene. The snow will be in the past at least for those at lower levels of the Island.

The last two or three days has seen heavy snow falls and many places where the snow has settled and at good depths. Internet, and especially facebook have been hosts to some very impressive photographs from all over the Island, with Lassithi winning first place for originality of constructions from the snow! No more “simple snowmen, but now we have snow donkeys and a slightly more provocative creation!
