Attempted suicide prevented

At the very last minute, at around lunchtime today, an attempted suicide was prevented.

According to information, the 42 year old man intended to jump from a bridge on the National Highway, at a point opposite the Heraklion Police Headquarters.

Passers by who saw him and understood his intentions, rushed to his aid and talked him out of his plan to jump. An ambulance that had been called and was waiting at a distance, took the man to hospital. Initial reports suggest that the 42 year old was suffering from psychological problems.
