If this had been one of us, I’m sure we would also have probably been a little concerned about what we might have to go through to clear my name, but afterwards, we would feel relieved because this incident proves, that airport security does work and can get results…let’s hope that their findings will always be false alarms!
A young woman from Crete was travelling back home, on a flight from the German airport of Schonefeld in Berlin. As she explained to cretalive.gr, as she was going through the hand baggage security check section, everyone and everything, suddenly came to a standstill.
“When I asked what was happening, they told me that they had found something suspect and they wouldn’t give me my things.” “You have something strange in your suitcase, they told me and said that they had to call the police”.
“When they asked me what I had in my case, I explained that there was my laptop, chargers, my mobile……..and my watch!”
“The girl on the checkpoint began taking things out of my suitcase one by one, as if everything might explode at any minute”, she recounted.
After some time of inconvenience to all those waiting, it was revealed that the explosive mechanism that they thought that she had in her case…..was actually a smartwatch!
The woman caught her plane in time, but she will always have the experience of that journey, to remember!
