Aegean Airlines has been awarded second best place in the European Low Cost category, by users of TripAdvisor, for 2017.
In the “Travellers Choice Awards” for airlines, which the travel platform is giving for the first time this year, the best European Low Cost Airline Award went to Jet2.com.
Apart from Jet2.com, from the U.K. there are another three airline companies in the top ten for Europe, as they have been rated by the users of TripAdvisor.
The biggest winner however, was Emirates, which was awarded the title of best airline worldwide.
The winners were chosen using an algorithm, which takes into account percentages of quality and quantity of reviews that each airline receives, from passengers from all over the world, in a twelve month period. TripAdvisor launched it’s airline awards scheme in July 2016.
