All passenger ferry boats will remain in their respective Greek ports on Tuesday 16th May and Wednesday 17th May 2017, after a vote was taken today, by the Pan-Hellenic Naval Federation (PNO), which decided on a new 48-hour course of strike action, by it’s members.
The National Strike and will begin at 00:01 in the early hours of 16th May and will end at 24:00 on the night of 17th May.
The demands of the Federation, are the same as those for which they have taken strike action on previous occasions – negative changes to their taxation and pension qualifications, which are being made by the present government, in line with their agreements and obligations to lenders.
