42 refugees land in Ierapetra

From 5 o’clock this morning Friday 25/11/2016, when a small boat with 42 refugees/migrants arrived on the shores of Ierapetra, a race has begun to organise for their accommodation.
For now, all 42 are being housed temporarily at a small gymnasium in the town. In a statement to fonien.gr,  the Mayor, Mr. Theodosis Kalantzakis said he is working in co-operation with the church, the police, the coast guard and other local organisations in an effort to find more suitable housing, medical assistance and provisions.
