Pitch black in the Ormos area (photos)

There have been many complaints made about the lack of lighting in the Ormos area of Agios Nikolaos, as all the street lamps and their bulbs are broken or missing, forcing people to walk in the pitch black, after dark falls.
The concern of most is even greater, bearing in mind that we are now in the beginning of the new tourist season.

An example of these complaints is this from one of our readers at fonien.gr:
Taking a walk this evening with my children in the Ormos area, and in particular, on the pathway after the barrier which is outside a well known bar on the road there. There were plenty of people – tourists and locals – doing exactly the same thing, around 8 o’clock in the evening, but something made a very bad impression on me. It was so dark along there, with all the street lamps broken and missing!!
How can the council not see this situation, or the hotels in the area?
Isn’t it a pity that during this period that we are going through, that an area such is this, is so neglected?
