Injured refuse worker transferred to hospital in Heraklion

Due to the severity of his injuries, the 40 year old refuse collection worker who was injured in this morning’s accident on the road to Elounda, has been transferred to hospital in Heraklion. His life is not in danger.
An investigation into the circumstances of the accident, which involved a car and the council refuse collection vehicle, has already begun and all necessary legal proceedings have been put into motion.
