“Breakfast Basket” in self-catering accommodation

A taste of…Greece for guests staying in smaller, self-catering units is being prepared by the Greek Federation of Tourist Accommodation Enterprises, with the “Breakfast Basket”, their new, innovative initiative.

The “Breakfast Basket” is being designed by the chef, Konstantinos Mouzakis and the aim is firstly, to upgrade the level of service offered to the customers in this type of tourist accommodation, but also, and just as importantly, to showcase the unique products of the Greek soil and diet.

Bread and in general, all bakery products, honey, milk, yogurt, pies and fresh fruit, will be the basic staples in each basket, which will then be adapted and enriched depending on the area, with the emphasis on local cuisine and the traditional local produce.

This new innovative service is expected to add value to the Greek tourist product and it is sure to offer special experiences to the customers-guests of these units, with their contact with the local produce of the area they are visiting.
