Official launch today for Sklavenitis (ex-Marinopoulos) supermarkets

Today, 1/3/17 sees the first official day of operation for the former Marinopoulos supermarkets under the new ownership of Sklavenitis.

Yesterday the shops stayed closed to facilitate the transfer of logistics on tills and computer systems, with the new ownership details.

They posted an announcement in each shop, which reads as follow:

Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you that as of 1st March 2017, we will be taking responsibility for the operation of the shop.

Our basic principle is “Respect for the Customer” and for that reason we try on a daily basis to provide the best service, offering products of the highest standard, in a large range and with prices as cheap as nowhere else.

As such and with your satisfaction our one aim, we are trying hard to restore normal operation to the supermarket, with sufficient stock, but also to create a pleasant and shopping friendly environment.

We ask for your understanding, as within the framework of our efforts, there may be some disturbance or inconvenience, due to the necessary works.

The staff of the store will be at your disposal for any suggestions or recommendations you may have, as we consider your opinion to be valuable.

Our warm thanks,

Sklavenitis Group

This take over now puts the Sklavenitis Group in first position, as the biggest chain of supermarkets, with 560 shops in Greece and Cyprus.
