The thousands of tourists who arrive every day via Heraklion airport, start their holidays with the picture of the Lake of Agios Nikolaos and the message “KALOS TOUS” – “WELCOME”!
It is not a move by the Tourism Committee of the Prefecture of Lasithi, nor is it a strategy of the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos, it’s not a move being made by the local Trader’s Association, or even a promotion being organised by the Association of Bars, Cafes and Restaurants of the area.
It is an initiative of Karnagio – Pita tou Riga, a business that is advertising the whole area, as the lake is the trademark of the entire town.
Their resourcefulness in the placement of an advertisment in the arrivals hall, shows professionalism and a step forward for the “we”, as against the “me” only.
