Delays with seasonal staff means lost revenue for council

Speaking today to Thanos Korobilias on his radio programme, PAME AERA on Lato 103,3, the President of DEYAN – the Public Services Section of the Agios Nikolaos Council, Michalis Farsaris, expressed his anger at the continued delays by the state, in finalising the process by which local councils will be able to employ their seasonal staff.
He said that if the procedures are not completed quickly, council staff who work in the offices will need to go out onto the beaches and issue receipts for the sunbeds, because time is passing and income is being lost.
