A tale of two Cretan cats

A tale of two Cretan cats, by Anne-Marie Clough.
Anne-Marie has written a short story book for children, which is about two homeless cats living on Crete. She has combined her passion for writing with her love of cats and in this case, her inspiration came from seeing the difficult conditions under which street cats on the island live, and their struggle for survival, especially in the villages.
She has decided to very generously donate a third of the sales from her book to a cause very close to her heart, and that is the VOCAL cat charity in Agios Nikolaos. She is hoping that the contribution from the sale of her book, will help the ongoing, highly successful work that the charity does. The book is available to buy on Amazon, but to give you a taste of the story, we have a small excerpt for you here:
“Late summer was a good time for Harry & Hermione. They had grown in experience and had an abundance of food. When they weren’t hunting, they enjoyed nothing more than laying outside in the sun, grooming themselves and warming their bodies. Hermione’s favourite place was on the top of some old wooden pallets in the corner of a nearby orange orchard, in amongst the undergrowth and with a carpet of pretty yellow flowers at her feet. She was hidden and felt safe there. She would watch with fascination when the flies, bugs and bees would zip between the plants, their wings glistening in the bright sunshine, and later the sparrows swooping down to gather up the grubs in their little beaks and take them back to their nests.”
It is never too early to be thinking about Christmas presents, but as a gift for all occasions, it sounds as if it will be a book that any child will want to hear, every night at bedtime!
Good luck Anne-Marie and thank you for sharing your work and your idea with us.
