The owners of motorcycle rental businesses in the town of Agios Nikolaos , are up in arms, expressing their anger and exasperation after incidences of unacceptable driving behaviour, from those who rent out quad bikes or other bikes from them.
We go to great lengths to ensure that they have the correct paperwork to qualify them to drive legally, we give them advice on the correct way to drive on our roads, but then, on many occasions, they behave dangerously once off on their own, said Antonis Tamiolakis, from Motor Holidays Stathis and pointed out:
“ An earnest request……whoever sees tourists at the wheel of quad bikes and driving erratically or in a dangerous way, please call the police. If it is possible, stop them and take the keys until the rental company and the police arrive at the scene. It will hopefully save people’s lives and save our bikes.
