The focus of the celebrations, of the national identity of the local population, is now the Heroes Monument in Sisi, which was completed after the installation and illumination of the sculpture of Pantelis and Haralambos Sotiriadis.
Their creation is a composition of forged stainless steel and bronze (leaves) 1,85 m., which belongs to a collection known as “Trees” and which is part of an exhibition which was held in 1990, in the lake in Agios Nikolaos, symbolising the reckless intervention of humans on nature!
The Mayor of the Municipality, Antonis Zervos, pointed out that the intervention of the municipal authority in the area Vrahassi signals their intention to accomplish everything planned for the area.
The sculpture, Mr. Zervos said, is an exceptional piece of work, which was based on the idea of the architect Mr. Vicky Griva, after the donation of space where the monument was erected, by the doctor Mr. Petraki Kyriaki.
The official inauguration ceremony of the Heroes Monument, will be held after Easter, when the people of the area, will be given the opportunity to express thanks to everyone who helped to shape this space.
