Another arrest for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition was made by the Police from Pyrgos, in Heraklion on Thursday 20/04/2017.
Handcuffs were put onto four people, in the Municipality of Gortyna, Heraklion – three men aged 36, 41 and 43 years and one woman aged 67, all of whom are charged with various offenses relating to firearms and antiquities.
From searches that were carried out at the homes of the four locals, the police found and confiscated the following:
2 Kalashnikov type weapons
4 pistols
13 magazines
100 bullets (type – Kalashnikov)
449 bullets of different diameters and types
Pistol holster and other items related to maintaining weapons
18 shells
6 ancient coins
The initial investigation is being carried out by the Pyrgos Divison and the four who were arrested, will appear before the Courts in Heraklion.
