Closing the Main Square probably didn’t work

The Main Square in Agios Nikolaos, is starting to return to it’s usual rhythm, as the Christmas decorations were removed during the course of Monday morning.
The portion which had been closed for the duration of the Christmas and New Year holidays, is being reopened for traffic. Speaking to the Council member responsible, Mrs. A. Varkaraki, told that ”opinions and ideas on how the whole intiative went were received and we will assess what alterations to plans need to be made in the future”.

Also present in the Square, was Mr. N. Haritakis, Council member responsible for cleanliness, who said that the removal of all the decorations in the Municipality had started, but asked for patience from residents as only one electrician was available to do the job and that the help of the weather was also very much needed.
