British man killed in watersports accident

The ANA-MPA has reported that a 56-year-old British national was killed on Tuesday while taking part in watersports at Makris Yalos, on the island of Cephalonia. According to the coast guard, the man and two friends were on a towable tube pulled by a speed boat when, during speedboat maneuvers, the man lost his balance and slammed onto his friends, losing consciousness.
An ambulance arrived at the beach to give first aid and take the man to hospital.
Authorities are waiting for the autopsy report that will shed light at the cause of death, but initial reports say the unlucky tourist may have suffered a heart attack.
The other two British nationals who were also on the ride, are well in their health.
The 37-year-old speed boat captain was arrested, but he may be released by the prosecutor later.
