With the backing of the Region for Crete, the 6th Forum for the Promotion of Cretan Produce (to Hotels and Wholesale Distributors), will take place on 1st April 2017 at the International Exhibition Centre in Gouves, Heraklion.
Joint organisers are the four Chamber of Commerces on the island, along with the Cretan Hoteliers Association and the Cretan Hotel Managers Association.
According to an announcement by the organisers, the Forum is aimed at farmers, livestock farmers, agricultural produce packagers, distributors, hoteliers and owners of tourist accommodation all over Crete.
The aim is to help, for another year, in coordinating cooperations between hotels and producers, so as to provide for the needs of the Cretan hotels, as well as the local marketplaces, with locally grown and produced products, whilst giving the visitors to the Island, a taste of Cretan produce and the Cretan diet and cuisine.
The forum, which is unique in Greece and has been give awards for it’s originality on international platforms, has been a huge success in the five previous years of organisation and has helped bring together many, with both sides building and enjoying a highly successful economic cooperation.
Meetings can be arranged by interested parties and by pre-arranged appointments, or directly at the exhibition.
